Founded in 2024, Synthwave Lasers was born from the expertise of three specialists in fiber lasers, optical amplifiers, and radiofrequency electronics. Our team designs and manufactures a new generation of pulsed laser sources, GHz laser pulse synthesizers, offering unmatched performance, tunability, and reliability.

Built on a decade of academic research at the University of Bordeaux, this breakthrough laser architecture generates pulses at extremely high repetition rates, deliverable in bursts. Nearly every output parameter can be finely tuned, such as central wavelength, pulse and burst repetition rates, and pulse duration, giving users unprecedented control over their laser source. This versatility opens the door to a wide range of applications, from quantum technologies and laser micromachining to time-frequency metrology and electronic component testing, and beyond.

Synthwave Lasers is based in the photonics technology cluster of Bordeaux, giving it close access to a collaborative community that helps speed up innovation in industrial lasers.
